1. High strength and lightweight: FRP pipe material has a specific gravity of 1.8-2.1 g/cm3 which is only 1/4 of that of steel.The light weight of FRP pipe facilitates its transportation and installation. The filament winding FRP pipe has higher horizontal strength than the ones of steel, cast iron, plastic, etc.
 2. High-grade resin provides super corrosion resistance property for FRP pipes which could be used in different corrosion circumstances such as acid, alkali, salt and organic solvent (in gas or liquid form). Its minimum life-span is more than 50 years.
3. Smooth inner, good for carrying water. The inner liner roughness factor is 0.0084, and the characteristics ensure that no filth (such as seashell, fungus, alga, etc.) can be stayed on the inner pad so that it increases its capacity of floating.
4. Easy to transport and install with lower cost of the implementation expenses.
5.FRP material is anisotropic. Design includes the proportion of composing materials, direction of reinforcements, layers of lamination, sequence of lamination, in order to acquire its best mechanic properties.
6. Nontoxic. FRP material has little volatility, no toxic releases. The pipe can be used to transport drinking water.
